HAYGAIN hay steamers...this product could change your horse's life.

HAYGAIN has been designed and engineered by a team of experts whose directors have over 100 years of combined specialized experience in steam applications. The result of these efforts is a robust, fit-for-purpose, scientifically-proven method of dramatically improving the hygiene quality of steamed hay which can only enhance the respiratory health of your horse.

Only HAYGAIN...

HAYGAIN steams an entire strung hay bale, its unique method enables steam to penetrate the center of the bale and diffuse outwards ensuring even steaming throughout.

The unit is thermally insulated and sealed to maintain the high temperatures (in excess of 212 degrees F) critical to killing all harmful fungal spores and bacteria (and other living organisms such as mites), effectively sterilizing while maintaining the hay's nutritional value, resulting in a totally dust and spore-free palatable forage.

So simple and easy-to-use...fill up the independent steam boilers with tap water, which rapidly generate steam. Place a fully strung bale onto the manifold spikes within the HAYGAIN steam chest, that penetrate the bale. Steam travels through these unique aluminum pressure die cast steam distribution manifolds and infuses the bale ensuring total absorption throughout the bale.

The lid of the HAYGAIN steam chest is angled to minimize lifting of the bale and is assisted by gas struts. The unit is mounted on heavy-duty wheels with a guiding handle for ease of maneuverability. A built-in thermometer ensures reference readings of the necessary temperatures.

A steam cycle takes approximately 60 minutes and the treated hay is immediately ready to feed as required. For a second bale, since the boilers now are preheated, the cycle time is reduced to approximately 30 minutes.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The patented design of the steam manifold ensures introduction of steam to the bale in the most effective manner. The spikes of the manifold penetrate the bale and distribute steam, enabling it to diffuse outwards from the center of the bale. The container is fully insulated and sealed, ensuring the critically necessary temperatures are maintained. As the moisture content within the hay increases, the temperature rises exponentially due to the increased efficiency of condensed steam acting as a heat conductor.

In addition, the design of the steam manifold plate will act as a hot plate to further amplify the heating process of the bale. The temperature of the hay reaches over 212 degrees Farenheit to guarantee that the mold spores are completely killed and irrespirable, thus posing zero risk to the horse and handler.

HOW DO WE MAKE THE STEAM?

HAYGAIN comes with robust, commercial-grade JIFFY STEAMER stainless steel steam generators. The boiler body is constructed in the USA of high-grade 304 stainless steel construction ensuring durability and no corrosion even in the harshest conditions. A capacity of 1 gallon enables two steaming cycles per filling.
